Chaparral Supplements & Products

This plant grows in the desert areas of Mexico or Southwest United States and is believed to have been used by Native Americans in early remedies to kill parasites. Some people also claim Chaparral may also relieve digestion issues (such as cramps and gas), stunt cancer and aid in fighting ongoing skin disorders. Most often associated with antibacterial or antiviral applications, forms of this supplement may also be used as a mouthwash. Dried leaves are used often to make teas, but tinctures and lotions are common products, as well. The taste of this herb is very unpleasant to some, so a topical option is sometimes recommended by medical professionals.
